Diane Alleva Cáceres, PhD

Diane is Founder and Managing Director of Market Access International, Inc. (MAI, Inc.). She oversees the company’s growth, management and provides technical assistance in international trade, investment and enterprise development.

Her experience spans 27 countries across all regions. Over a 25-year period she has held high-level positions in several organizations including MAI, Australian Trade Commission, U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Center for Trade and Investment Services covering North Africa and the Middle East, World Technology Foundation and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars’ Asia Program.

Diane is the Immediate Past President of the Graduate Studies Advisory Board at William and Mary and a long-standing member of the World Trade Center Atlanta where she was recently elected as Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors.

Diane is an elected Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and a member of its Committee on the National Program. She is also an elected member of the International Women’s Forum. She earned a PhD in International Affairs, Science and Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology where she was also Associate Director of the European Union Center of Excellence and is now a Lecturer and Research Associate. She obtained a B.A. in economics and M.A. in international trade policy from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She speaks French and has a working understanding of Spanish.
